Yes, I would like to offer the public the chance, within a set of rules, the chance to add 2 new Sonic players to the game's roster, as Sonic's and Tails's Clones. More or less if you can come up with gameplay changes that are reasonable and get a sprite set going, I'm willing to code it in, as long as you stick to these guidelines: - THIS IS AN ART CONTEST, NOT A POLL FOR PICKING WHO YOU WANT. Do not post on this topic unless your sumbitting sprites that fit the listed requirements or are giving feedback to other member's submitted work. Otherwise your post will be deleted as spam without explanation. And because so many people have chose to ignore this rule you will get a warning, my patience is through.- The character must have basic Sonic gameplay. The coin based damage and spin dash & attack. They must at least animate close to Sonic or Tails. Frame count is flexiable, but outside special moves try to keep to the basic range of sprite strips. Any characters that are close to these requirements are fine to cheat a little and have the basic powers in MKF, like Amy Rose. - Sprites must be around Sonic's scale in this game. Both the old Game Gear and the new resized Sonic 3 skins are about same scale. Try as hard as you can to match it. - We would prefer you match the draw style to the Genesis, or later Gamegear games drawing style. But we're plenty willing to accept other styles if they are well made. We won't be too rigid in the game of clashing sprites. - DO NOT SEND ME UNEDITED GBA OR GENESIS SONIC SPRITESHEETS UNLESS: They are scaled to this game, and scaled well, and have the ladder, pickup and carry sprites. I WILL SLAP YOU.- The Raccoon, Tanooki, Hammer Bros, and Megaman outfits are all flexible to a certain degree. They can be changed but keep in mind all Sonic powerup are supposed to be a little sub-par, due to how powerful Sonic players are by default. - Giving a clone new powers comes with losing old ones. Try not to surpass the balance of Tails/Sonic. Your clones are subject to change in the name of balance. Keep in mind I have a reputation for making OP characters, so be happy knowing nerfing don't happen too much  - PRACTICAL, PLAYABLE > COOL- MKF team members are not prohibited from taking part.- Anti-Coalition spots can always be replaced. Forget about them. - THE DEVS AND MODS WILL CHOOSE WHICH SUBMISSIONS ARE USED IN THE END. This post has been edited by Obreck2 on Jun 12 2009, 12:41 PM

Anyway, a while ago, I started a Shadow edit of the Sonic Game Gear and Sonic 3 skin. And I might not get aroung to the skating, so probaly the best thing for Shadow is to edit an existing Sonic 3 style Shadow. I'll try may take on it later today.  But if I ever edit my sheet well enough, then I'll post it here and see what you guys think.

I'd personally like to see Shadow have a Chaos attack, dropping the Bounce Attack, but if Shadow is just a skin, then I guess I'm fine with that.

Well, Shadow will be in his SA2 incarnation in MKF according to Ben. What I think is, if possible, Amy is Sonic's alternate, and Shadow as his clone. But Obreck said that each character may have one, but, like he said, go with working rather than cool, so I agree.

Actually, it'd be more like the other way around. Remember, 'Clones' have fundamental gameplay differences (Proto's HP system as opposed to Roll's suit system). 'Alternates' are like skin mods, but would have, say, more swimming frames; or a modified walk cycle.

Well, I'm using a good made Sonic 3 style Shadow. Could I increase the number of frames? It just doesn't seem right as it is now. I got a basic plan for Shadow. His gameplay will be similar to Sonic Adventure 2. Shadow didn't get get the Bounce Blacelet nor the Magic Hand (Which was useless.  ) So, instead, Shadow could either get the Chaos Spear or a dash attack (not Homing Attack) in the cost of Rings in exchange for the Bounce Attack. I don't got any ideas on Mega Man suits. Sheilds stay the same. Shadow would be slightly slower than Sonic, faster than Tails. That's my take. I'll think of Amy later.

I'll get on making the sprites soon, but here's my idea for Sonic's clone.
Shadow. He plays just like Sonic, but he has a middle-range weak projectile (Chaos Spear), he's slightly slower, doesn't lose all his rings when hit, and his rocket shoes allow him to glide for a quarter of a second or something when running off a cliff or a block or something when running at full speed. Sprites coming soon.
EDIT: My idea for Tails' clone, I will try to sprite her as well, but it'll come out as crap.
Cream. (MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA*hackcough*hahaha.) Her flight gets her higher, but slower, and it feels stiff. And she's not allowed to fly as high. Also, she can use her Chao to home in to close (VERY close) enemies. Proceed to shoot me.

My take on Ms. Rose. (I WOULD call her 'Mrs.' but...  ) Amy is slightly slower than Tails, if not at all. Amy would, of course, get her Piko-Piko Hammer instead of, say, the Spin Charge. (Amy couldn't ever Spin Dash, anyway) Amy would use her hammer the same way you do a Spin Dash. Amy COULD get a power-up that lets her Spin Dash, and we could move the hammer to the run or fire button. No ideas on Mega Man suits, yet. And also, Amy could spin in the air, like in Sonic Heroes, for a few seconds, dropping the Bounce Attack. All of these, including Shadow, are subject to change. If anyone has ideas, let me know, and I'll take them into consideration.  EDIT: Amy having her Hammer jump from Sonic Adventure? That would be too over powered, wouldn't it?
