CONTEST: Skin-a-Goomba, NO JPG submissions, please.

NOTE TO ABOUT .JPG FORMAT. JPG DESTROYS SPRITE QUALITY.

I cannot use .jpg art, period. Use .bmp, png, or .gif format and repost or you will be rejected. A FEW WINNERS I PICKED USED JPG. REFORMAT OR YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED.

ALL .JPG format submissions will be automatically rejected.

Goombas have been set up to be highly skinnable. They can be dressed to fit any stage. We want to see what types of Goomba outfits you, the fans can dream up

First the rules. I apologize, most of these rules are because the goomba skin system is a uniform function, so limits had to be set:


- Goomba skins must have 3 sprites. 2 for walking and 1 for squished.

- Walking sprites must be between 16x24 & 14x16 pixels in size. No exceptions.

- Stomped sprites must be between 16x16 & 16x4 pixels in size.

- No AI changes. Feel free to start new topics for new enemy suggestions.

- Post only your own art. I've posted template art below you can build off. You can build off other Mario art, just add something to it.

- Palette swaps better be awesome and fit a need of the game.

- The standard Goomba look is the Sml2 look. Try to stick with that if possible.

- This game has any theme you can think of. Dress a goomba any way you can imagine.

I've made two skins for goombas.

The zombie one has evil smile, blood on teeth and even the falling blood effect!
If also it is possible, made Dark Goomba semi-transparency. But it can be without it.
EDIT2:
Ahh, I almost forgot. Zombie goomba skin will be on some world 4 levels (Doom ones) and Dark Goomba in some dark themed levels.

My Goomba is the cyclops goomba, there are two versions with one slight difference in them. 19 bored points to who ever finds out what it is.

I don't really have a name for them, but I changed a lot of little details that you will notice if you look closely. I didn't want to change the look of the goomba too much, so this is what I came up with.

^ They sorta look like camoflage Goombas, maybe you should try making that. They would be great if JS decided to remake his Military War Zone level. Which he totally should.
