That's right, I decided to make my own topic.

Currently, I am working on 1 stage, Damp Dune. You may remember me describing it before.

First, I'll post some screens.

I had an idea for the music for this level.

The screenshots look nice, but it leaves me wondering what enemies you're planning to use besides Birdo. The Lakitu cloud is an interesting touch as I haven't seen it used (I could be wrong here).

Just some advice (not trying to backseat mod here), Weston, you can edit your posts if you want to add something little, like the idea for the music. Normally, you wouldn't want to double post in such a short time. If the topic fell dead for awhile then it could be understood.

Otherwise Damp Dunes looks interesting. I would like to see how this turns out.

Beezos Added, some enemies, an smb3 Style "find out which blocks are real" thingamabob, and also, please note that the water is now transparent.

Part 2's layout is finished, but I am having some trouble with doors.

MASSIVE update.

You enter the pyaramid, only to hear a loud rumbling sound, and you decide it's best to ascend, since the door that lead you inside locked on you.

Doh. Died. Anyways, this isn't really a "Run" part, as the camera isn't really fast. Near the end, water fills up the pyaramid, and the time is ticking, once you reach the top, you don't have much time to break open the door.

Erm... What that block said.

Anyways, I blocked out some things in the first area, so you can't skip the Birdo battle. The auto-snifit idea was also scrapped, I also plan on making the third area larger.

Looks great. Consider it accepted into World 1.

Do you plan for a different boss other than Mouser to be there? Cause I was thinking it would be perfect for a battle against one of the Koopalings.

That was actually what I was planning!

And thanks, I'm working on part 3's expansion right now, by the way.

I'll also be fixing some bugs, too.

For now, here's a screen of the pyaramid flooding. It's not swimmable yet, but I plan on making it.

I really like this. My only minor complain (more of a nitpick) is that the Sonic springs look kind of out-of-place.

Yeah it really looks nice. Nevertheless I've got one idea to improve the aesthetics of this stage: How about using a different background for the pyramid? I mean, now it looks like a cave, but not like a pyramid. Therefor I would suggest the background from Birabuto Bash or Sandopolis Zone or Quackshot. Maybe someone would find an appropriate background for you and help you replacing it. smile.gif

Okay, I have come with an update.

(Screens will be edited in later)

Anyways, the flood water is now swimmable, and I placed a wall next to the door so the bombs don't go offscreen.

The third area has been expanded, a key + a phanto are also appearing.

I plan on making a 4th area before the boss, similar to SMB3 pipe mazes, and I plan on making the pyaramid climb scene a bit more tricky.

And Slit_Zurifa, I took your suggestion, and I changed the BG, it looks much better now.

The level is pretty much done, I've placed coins and such , added another area, etc.
